Description: DAY & NIGHT QUILT CLASS (An Eleanor Burns Quilt In A Day Quilt project) THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELED Instructor: Nancy Healey Skill Level: Intermediate Cost: $30 + Book  Day & Night will mystify, enchant, and entertain you! It is magical! No smoke and mirrors: the technique is just totally awesome! The pattern is made from strips! The illusion is created by using the acrylic template, included in the back of the book. Eleanor offers variations on making a quilt with two or three contrasting colors. By using 3 or 4 fabric strips the blocks take on a whole new look! Originally a difficult paper pieced pattern, Eleanor and Michelle took this time-consuming design and made it quick. Two additional projects can be made from the cut-aways. A Mini Star Quilt and Spider Web Quilt are easily made from the scraps.  Nancy will be teaching the Three Strip technique from this book and the yardage requirements are shown on pages 42 & 43. Please select the size you would like to work on. You probably won't finish your quilt in class, but you will know how to finish it when you leave!! Select the two fabrics you want to use and then cut the fabric prior to coming to class based on the instructions on pages 42 & 43 in the book. You don't need to sew anything together, just cut out the strips you need. Nancy recommends using The Shape Cut by June Tailor for cutting strips! (This photo does not show how beautiful this quilt is!! The background is a chocolate brown with teal polka-dots! It is fantastic! Imagine all the possibilities with this quilt project!)
