The June Tailor mat is hard surface vs. soft surface, so its more durable. Will not warp or peel, even in extreme weather conditions. Long-term cutting is easier on the wrist with a hard surface mat. June Tailor mats provide extended blade life because the plastic is not cut. Numbers are on the outside of the cutting grid, making it easier to see where to cut. June Tailor mats are the only ones with a handle.
